What can be detected in the eye check-up?
Our ophthalmologists check the submitted data and images for abnormalities or deviations from the usual normal values. Abnormalities and deviations from normal values can indicate conditions such as diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, or glaucoma. Please note: This result report does not constitute a medical diagnosis.

Who evaluates the results of the eye check-ups?
All measurements and images are evaluated by licensed specialist doctors of ophthalmology. They do not replace the visit and further examinations with your local ophthalmologist.

What do the colors on the result report mean?
The results are evaluated according to a simple traffic light system: Green: No significant concerns requiring clarification were found. The evaluated data are within the normal range. Yellow: Deviations from the norms or concerns were found. Generally, these deviations are not immediately dangerous, but a clarification by a local eye doctor should be made. Red: Deviations from the norms or concerns were found. A clarification by a local eye doctor should take place promptly.

Does the eye check-up replace an appointment with an eye doctor?
The eye check-up is a preventive screening with the aim of detecting changes at the back of the eye as early as possible. Diagnosis and treatment continue to be carried out by an ophthalmologist on site. The eye check-up does not constitute a medical diagnosis and cannot replace a visit to an ophthalmologist.
